As we are aware of the importance of delivering within your expected time of arrival of the purchased products, we request you to study our delivery policy below for your guidance. WHAT IS THE COST OF SHIPPING?
Local Shipping:
South African orders will have a courier charge of R150 to door or R100 to PostNet. Should your shipping weight increase over 5 kg for door-to-door shipping a slight R5.30 increase in shipping cost will be calculated per every additional kilogram.
International Shipping:
International orders will be custom quoted due to individual shipment situations.
In addition, all countries impose VAT and duties on imported goods, but duties vary depending on the commodity type and shipment value, and these rates differ from country to country. It’s important to note that customs fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. Der Lederhandler does not provide refunds or accept returns if items are not cleared due to unpaid customs fees. If you have any questions regarding customs regulations or fees, we recommend contacting your local customs office for further clarification.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER
Der Lederhandler specializes in handcrafted, full-grain leather goods. We offer a range of leather finishes and colors, but our signature style is the durable, earthy “Tobacco” leather. This is also our standard in-stock option for nearly all (98%) of our products. While other colors are available, they will be made to order.
Local Shipping:
- If your order is in Tobacco: allow 3-5 working days for delivery in SA.
- If your order is in any other color it will be manufactured on demand: allow 15 days for delivery in SA.
International Shipping:
- If your order is in Tobacco: allow 7-9 working days depending on customs.
- If your order is in any other color it will be manufactured on demand: International delivery time in such cases will be confirmed via email.
INTL. ORDER PLACEMENTS ACTIVATE EMAIL QUOTING
ORDER PLACEMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS WILL ACTIVATE AN EMAIL QUOTATION WITHIN ONE BUSINESS DAY
International customers can browse our products and proceed through checkout as usual. However, upon entering an international shipping address, you’ll be presented with the shipping option ‘To be quoted individually: Int. Weight Based Shipping’. Upon submission of your address, the ‘PAYMENT FOR INTL ORDERS’-option will be selected automatically. We’ll then email you a Proforma Invoice with included shipping costs and a payment link. Clicking the payment link emailed will activate a secure payment window and a range of payment options you can choose from.
Tracking
Once the parcel is in the hands of the courier service, you will be informed how to track it.
